What To Ask Before Hiring A
Birthday Party Magician

How much space do you need?
For the birthday magician equipment and props, I need a 10 ' by 5' area. Usually, your living room is a perfect place for this. Other than that, enough room for the children to sit in front of my performing area is all that is needed.

Do you need a table?
No. I bring my own case that folds up into a table. In fact you do not have to provide anything except the space and a place to plug in for power within 25 feet of the performing area.

Can you perform the show outdoors?
Yes, the show can be performed outside as long as the weather is decent and an additional fee is paid. However, it is always safer to have it indoors -- fewer distractions.

Can we serve the kids food, snacks, and beverages during your show?
I do recommend serving treats & drinks before or after the show as it is a HUGE distraction for the kids. At this age, they need the least amount of distractions as possible. So I HIGHLY recommend NOT serving goodies during the performance (also because it's a show based on audience interaction and participation... I need their hands to be free).

How much do you cost?

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I do ask for a small fee/deposit. The rest of the payment is expected in full on the day of the show. You may pay with cash or check.

Is the show clean and age appropriate?
Most magicians do not have an age specific show. I specialize in entertaining children with 100% SQUEAKY CLEAN and FUN MAGIC!

When's a good time to have you begin your show?
A good general rule of thumb is to have my show begin about a half hour after the party begins. This prevents distractions from guests who may arrive late.

Important: Can we hire you to entertain our children in one room while all of the adults hang out in another room?
Due to liability issues, I do require two or more responsible adults (besides me) within the room/audience. I simply cannot be held responsible for supervising them. This is to protect you, the children and myself.
